Zaki Adventures: Projects Overview
01-Oct-2006: Due to a demanding workload as well as the time and effort needed at school, I had to put all my Adrift projects on hold for the time being.
All That Remains (Short Story / Mystery)
All That Remains was initially started for the Writing Challenges Comp, the game will now be released independently but in full adherence to the Comp's rules. The story revolves around a protagonist who's well settled life gets shaken by strange imaginations and hidden memories.

Watch Out! (Satire)
Watch Out! will be a short game, its action spanning only over a few days. While the player will have enough time to end all the necessary steps to advance on the following day, most of the unessential interaction with the environment will be limited, and unlocked from day to day.
Introduction: Life couldn't be more harmonic than in Harrowlet, a small town in the heart of Switzerland. But suddenly, this harmony is endangered as scrupulous thieves kidnap Elisa, the most beloved cow of the town. The police have shown up on the scene of crime - outrun only by the local press, animal right groups and a few curious tourists - and the citizen of Harrowlet are in turmoil. What dark sides will the unforgiving search for Elisa reveal? It's up to the player to uncover Elisa's fate, and bring back law and order to this once so lovely place.

Joe's Journey To Work (Real Life)
Joe's Journey To Work was initially my first Adrift project. Due do its size and a certain lack of ideas on the look of the final version, I've put the game aback for a while, and have halted the development for the time being.
Introduction: In an ordinary world, where nothing seems to change, where nothing seems to matter, Joe B. Average lives a life not unlike many others. Every morning, Joe leaves his apartment to go to work. Every noon, he takes a rest from work, eats, and returns to work. Every evening, he leaves work to go home, where he lulls away until sleep gives him some peace. He doesn't like work, but he has to work, live everybody else has to.
And like everybody else, he wakes up this Monday morning at 6.30 AM. But something has changed. Why does everything feel so differently today? Why is it already Monday when it should be Saturday? What happened on the weekend? And can he really afford to ask these questions, or shouldn't he go to work?
Special Feature: Thanks to the permission of Jens-Peter Morgenstern, a musician renowned for his work for the German audio play series 'Die drei Fragezeichen', Joe's Journey To Work will feature some incredible music tunes as well!
Status: On Hold / Rooms: 51 / Intended Release:
Damascus: 1916 (Adventure / Spy Game)
Damascus: 1916 will be a future release of Zaki Adventures. It is set in 1916, a time when World War I changed the fate of nations and individuals, a time when ordinary people proved their courage, a time when humanity was at an abyss.
In the city of Damascus, well known for its lively market and religious monuments, lies another world, hidden behind labyrinthine byroads and secretive courtyards. It's the world of adventurers, spies and rogues. Can the player prevail the threats of intrigues, espionage and war? Can one man change the course of history?
Status: No further information available. Work on Damascus: 1916 has not yet started.
